While it may seem that you earn more than your closest friend, competing against them isn’t always wise. My best friend and I had our share of financial disagreements before he got engaged to another man. However, we’ve never let our disputes threaten our friendship. He now enjoys a happy marriage and has two adopted children, one from Nigeria and the other from South Korea. I admire their modern family structure and progressive values. Since graduating, my best friend has earned an impressive salary of $95,000, which is 150% more than what I currently make.
